THERAPEUTIC BODYWORK

Deep relief. Functional change. Total reset.

Therapeutic Bodywork at Self Centered Body & Wellness is a focused, intentional treatment designed to release tension, restore mobility, and reconnect you with your body.
Unlike traditional massage, this is precision-based work—with slower pacing, deeper intention, and techniques chosen specifically for what your body needs.

This session blends clinical skill with nervous-system awareness so your body can release safely, without force

What Is Therapeutic Bodywork?

Therapeutic Bodywork is a customized combination of techniques used to:

  • relieve deep muscle tension

  • improve range of motion

  • correct postural strain

  • ease stress stored in tissue

  • support nervous system down-regulation

This is a great option when you need more than “relaxation,” but don’t necessarily need a medical referral.

Each session may include:

  • deep tissue techniques (slow, intentional—not painful)

  • neuromuscular therapy

  • myofascial release

  • stretching and mobility work

  • trigger point release

  • joint decompression

  • breath-guided fascia release

  • somatic unwinding

  • subtle energetic integration

Every treatment is tailored to your patterns, not a routine.

Who This Helps

Therapeutic Bodywork is ideal for:

  • chronic muscle tension

  • neck and shoulder pain

  • low back tightness

  • hip restrictions

  • limited flexibility

  • tension headaches

  • postural issues

  • stress-related tightness

  • athletic strain

  • jaw/face tension (TMJ)

  • people who hold stress in their body

If your muscles feel tight, heavy, or locked up — this session helps return ease and mobility.

Included Add-On Options (No Additional Charge)

Every body holds tension differently — that’s why your therapeutic session can include optional add-ons at no extra cost. These enhancements allow me to customize your treatment based on what your body needs that day.

You may choose:

• Cupping Therapy

Gentle negative pressure to lift fascia, increase circulation, and release deep tension.

• Hot Stones

Warm basalt stones to soften tight muscles, melt stress, and deepen relaxation.

• Assisted Stretching

Targeted mobility work to improve range of motion and reduce stiffness.

• TMJ / Jaw Release

Focused work for jaw tension, teeth clenching, headaches, and stress stored in the face.

• Scalp & Neck Therapy

A calming sequence designed to release tension and quiet the nervous system.

• Foot or Hand Therapeutic Sequence

Grounding, relaxing, and ideal for clients who hold tension in extremities.

• Nervous System Grounding Add-On

Soothing techniques that help shift the body into parasympathetic rest-and-restore mode.

• Fascia Compression or Pin-and-Stretch Work

Precise techniques that help stubborn knots release safely and effectively.

• Aromatherapy (therapeutic grade)

Calming essential oils to support emotional and physical relaxation.

• Red Light Therapy (LED Photobiomodulation)

A gentle, science-backed treatment that supports tissue repair, reduces inflammation, improves circulation, eases joint and muscle pain, and boosts cellular energy (ATP). Perfect for stubborn tension, chronic pain areas, or deep fascia work.

How Add-Ons Work

You can request add-ons when you book, or I may recommend them based on:

  • your symptoms

  • your tension patterns

  • your goals

  • and what your body tells me during the session

Your session is always customized — your body sets the priority.

Therapeutic Bodywork Safety

Avoid or reschedule therapeutic bodywork if:

  • you’re in active flare-up of an autoimmune condition

  • you recently had a migraine with aura

  • you have uncontrolled diabetes or low blood sugar issues

  • you are currently taking strong pain medications that impair sensation

  • you have unexplained bruising

  • you have acute inflammation or swelling

  • you have severe osteoporosis (deep pressure contraindicated)

Modifications can often be made — just communicate any changes in your health.
