Medical Massage Therapy

Clinical treatment. Skilled hands. Functional results.

Your body deserves more than surface-level relief. My medical massage sessions use targeted, evidence-based techniques to reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore normal function in the areas your body has been protecting.

This is not a spa massage.
This is therapeutic, results-driven bodywork with measurable change.

Medical Massage Is Referral-Based Only

Medical Massage at Self Centered Body & Wellness requires a medical referral.

At this time, we ONLY accept VA Community Care (VA CCN) referrals.
We do not accept:

  • private insurance

  • Medicare

  • Medicaid

  • other out-of-network insurance plans

Private pay options are available only for non-medical services.

What Is Medical Massage?

Medical massage is a focused, goal-oriented treatment designed to address specific conditions such as chronic pain, injury recovery, muscular dysfunction, or limited range of motion.

Each session blends:

  • neuromuscular therapy

  • trigger point work

  • myofascial release

  • deep tissue (clinical, not forceful)

  • stretching and mobility techniques

  • posture and movement assessment

  • nervous-system–friendly pacing

Your treatment is customized based on your symptoms, history, and how your body responds in real time.

Who This Helps

Medical massage is ideal for people experiencing:

  • neck pain

  • shoulder pain or frozen shoulder

  • low back pain & sciatica

  • hip restrictions

  • chronic muscular tension

  • migraines or tension headaches

  • TMJ issues

  • postural strain from work

  • sports injuries or repetitive strain

  • decreased range of motion

If your pain is affecting your daily life, your work, your sleep, or your mobility — this service is for you.

What a Session Includes

Assessment
Range-of-motion testing, goniometer measurements, posture analysis, and targeted palpation.

Treatment
Focused therapeutic bodywork on the affected region(s), guided by nervous-system awareness to ensure the body releases without overwhelm.

Reintegration
Movement re-education, breath support, and home-care guidance to help maintain results between sessions.

Our goal is for you to gain long-term functional improvement.

My approach blends clinical precision with intuitive awareness. I pay attention to the patterns in your fascia, the way your muscles guard, the breath quality, and how your nervous system responds.

Instead of forcing change, I work with your body so it can release what it’s been holding.

Clients often report:

  • decreased pain

  • increased mobility

  • reduced stress

  • improved posture

  • a sense of clarity and grounding

  • deeper connection to their body

You walk out feeling lighter, freer, and more aligned.
